In order to join CLEAR, you must have the following qualifications:

• Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years experience researching and/or clearing copyrights in footage, music, stills and/or underlying rights in footage, music or stills.
• Two current CLEAR members in good standing must endorse the applicant.
• Employment history must be verifiable; resume must be attached to application form.
• If applicant has less than 3 years experience he/she is not eligible to join CLEAR at this time, but is welcome to come to mixers and attend seminars to meet and interact with the group.

Application procedure

• Membership applications will be assessed by the Membership Commitee upon the submission of every ten applications or every three months, whichever comes first.
• Once references have been checked and confirmed and the application reviewed, the Commitee will vote on the application.

The result of the vote will be forwarded to the Directors of CLEAR Inc., for communication to the applicant and collection of dues.

Membership Levels

• Individual $50 year
• Corporate call for details
• Sponsor call for details

What Members receive:

• Three issues of the CLEAR directory.
• Access to CLEAR job postings via email and on-line, passworded job board.
• Invitations to CLEAR events such as copyright seminars, visits to post houses/libraries, get-togethers etc.
